Documents - Drag and Drop Uploading

The most obvious change for you and your end users will be the drag and drop uploading.  While the Documents feature will look the same, and even operate much as it has before, you now have the ability to upload multiple documents in any modern browser. This removes the requirement for the Multi-File Upload ActiveX component for in browser uploading (though you will still need to use ActiveX if you are uploading files from a Document Management System).
  1. Navigate to the Documents feature.
  2. Click the “Add” button.
  3. Note the changes to the add document screen.
  4. Add documents to the list by dragging and dropping as well as by clicking and browsing.
  5. Note that documents inadvertently added can be removed before the page is submitted.
You can also drag and drop documents onto your document or folder list.
  1. Navigate to the Documents feature.
  2. Drag and drop files onto the list of existing files. Complete the process or cancel.
  3. Drag and drop files onto a folder in the tree. Complete the process of cancel.
Effective July 28, 2017:  The upload limit of 50mb has been replaced with a 2 gigabyte (2000mb) upload limit for all browsers.  Note, for Internet Explorer users, you must turn off your Multi-File Upload option to take advantage of the higher limit. Large files may take some time to complete the upload.  Your upload speed is determined by your internet connection. AMS Connect Version 6.7
